本實驗室聚焦在社群媒體上使用者生成資料的分析，主要利用自然語言處理、資料探勘、社會網絡分析等技術，自大量資料中挖掘隱含的有價值資訊與知識，並應用在消費者決策、智慧行銷、智慧零售等應用領域。
Text Mining and Social Media Analytics Lab focuses on the analysis and discovery of knowledge from UGC in social media. Natural language processing, data mining, and social network analysis are the main analytical technologies employed. The major application areas include consumer decision making, intelligent marketing, and smart retailing.
