- Integrate the educational philosophy about information technology and management expertise.
The curricula balancing theories and practice may strengthen training regarding basic theories and concepts and emphasize the training of students’ abilities in system implementation, hoping to cultivate high-quality information application talents familiar with information technology and enterprise characteristics primarily by virtue of solid software program design abilities, and system analysis and business management philosophy secondarily.
- Create Practical Training of Workplace Soft Power
Provide diversified practical training opportunities so that the senior students may engage in practical training in the relevant industries for one year. The model under which they may apply what they learn to good use may help them connect with industries to prove and learn how it works and the attitudes in the industries, in hopes of improving the divide between theory and practice, training students to become talents with professional competence and practical experience, and urging them to think about their career planning early to improve their professional competence and employment opportunities.
- Emphasis on Knowledge-Action Integration Learning
Integrate theories and practice through the curricula including “Marketing Management”, “Management Science”, “System Analysis and Design”, and “Practical Training”. Encourage teachers to lead students to actively participate in local and international contests via the selection of themes, production of proposals, and execution of activities in order to enable students to seek practical experience, train their inter-disciplinary professional integration competence, and demonstrate their learning results. In recent years, the number of students participating in contests has been increasing year by year. A lot of students outperformed competitors and won multiple special awards and honors.
- Upgrade the International Exchange for Global Mobility
In order to train our students to become the kind of "multinational information management" talents that are needed by enterprises, the Department uses its best efforts to promote overseas education and overseas visitation and study activities, in order to improve students’ foreign language proficiency, enable them to get familiar with the international environment as early as possible, have in-depth knowledge about exotic cultures, and enhance their macro global vision through the practical training course programs in foreign schools and exchange and interaction with foreign students. Meanwhile, the Department invites foreign students attending master’s and doctoral degree programs to work on “The IM English Corner” designed for IM people exclusively, in order to train students’ abilities in listening and speaking English in their daily life and help them walk onto the cultural map of the world.
